440gsm fabric is heavy enough that the leg swings rather than flaps, stacking clean over any shoe without collapsing. The wash is pulled back to a vintage haze, deep black gone slightly grey at the stress points, the way denim looks after a couple of good years. A touch of viscose in the blend keeps it from feeling like cardboard on day one.
